Real Madrid‘s Champions League opener took a hit as England player Trent Alexander-Arnold got injured. He hurt his muscles just four minutes into the match against Marseille and had to leave the game. The sight of Alexander-Arnold gripping his left knee in pain worried teammates and fans alike.

Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso confirmed after the match that the injury is not serious. “It’s not as bad as we feared, but we need to wait for further tests,” Alonso said. More medical examinations are expected in the coming days.

Arnold’s involvement in the match against Liverpool at Anfield on November 4 is now uncertain.

Madrid hopes for positive results from the scans, while Liverpool fans are eagerly waiting to see if Arnold can play at home against them.
