Juventus has added Alisson Becker to their list of summer targets as they aim to strengthen their goalkeeper position.

With several key players from the Jurgen Klopp era leaving, Alisson could be next. Giorgi Mamardashvili joined last summer as a potential replacement, but Alisson has remained the first choice.

While Mamardashvili’s role was expected to increase, that shift could happen faster if Juventus formally approaches Alisson in the upcoming transfer window.

The interest in Alisson has increased due to Michele Di Gregorio’s underwhelming performances for Juventus.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, he and Spurs keeper Vicario are top candidates, alongside AC Milan’s Mike Maignan.

Juventus’ final decision will depend on their financial situation, as Alisson is considered a more budget-friendly option compared to other choices.

Two factors may favor Juventus in negotiations.

First, Liverpool has their future starting goalkeeper already lined up.

Second, Alisson’s contract ends at the season’s close. Although he has an option to extend for another year, a 12-month deal likely won’t push Juventus to overspend.

There’s also a more personal aspect that could influence Alisson’s decision.

Alisson’s Previous Ties with Juventus Coach Luciano Spalletti

Before his time at Liverpool, Alisson played in Italy and has connections to the current Juventus manager.

He worked under Spalletti at Roma, where he began to establish himself in the first team.

Although he was initially behind Wojciech Szczesny, Alisson contributed significantly during cup competitions as Roma earned trophies.

It’s uncertain what Alisson wants for his future, but a move to Juventus could align with his history and connections in Italian football.

However, Liverpool may prefer to retain him. Despite Mamardashvili’s arrival, Alisson still has value, and having both goalkeepers could enhance squad depth.
