Pereira made his 26th league appearance for Palmeiras in their match against Vitoria, which was only the second game of the national championship.

He played a crucial role in Palmeiras’ 5-1 victory, providing three assists at home.

One of his standout moments was a backheel assist, showcasing his confident play throughout the match. He created a total of five chances.

After the game, he mentioned to reporters, “It’s easy to adjust to a big club like Palmeiras; everyone is supportive, from the coaching staff to the players. I feel better every day and I can play my game.”

Last season, Pereira did not get any assists in his first 24 matches for Palmeiras.

Now, he has achieved four assists in his last two league matches, having also contributed to a 2-2 draw against Atletico MG.

This achievement makes him the first Palmeiras player since Dudu in 2019 to assist three goals in a single league match.

Andreas Pereira’s Late Push

Pereira may be positioning himself for a spot on Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.

With 10 caps for Brazil, he was last called up by Carlo Ancelotti in September 2025.

As reported by ESPN Brazil, only 11 players are confirmed for the tournament, leaving the remaining spots uncertain.

Players like Casemiro from Manchester United and Matheus Cunha are said to be among those already secured.

Having come through Manchester United’s academy, Pereira made 75 senior appearances, scoring four goals and providing five assists during his time there.

He left the club after United signed Bruno Fernandes in January 2020, which, while a significant move for United, opened the door for Pereira to find more playing time elsewhere.
