Igor Tudor Set to Make His Mark at Tottenham

Igor Tudor has been appointed as the interim manager of Tottenham Hotspur following the departure of Thomas Frank last week. With Spurs now facing potential relegation, the Croatian has been tasked with turning the team’s fortunes around for the remainder of the season.

The 47-year-old has a track record of revitalizing struggling teams, as seen during his stints at Udinese and Juventus. Tottenham supporters will be eager to see how he performs in his first managerial role in England.

Some fans and analysts have expressed concern over Tudor’s lack of Premier League experience. TalkSPORT commentator Ally McCoist warned that Tudor may face challenges in his early matches. Former manager Tim Sherwood has also outlined ambitious goals he must meet to secure a permanent position at the club.

Andros Townsend Believes Tudor’s Approach Could Benefit Spurs

Tudor began training sessions on Monday and emphasized his plans for an attacking style while ensuring solid defensive organization. He aims to implement his tactical flexibility and management skills effectively.

Former Spurs player Andros Townsend shared his thoughts on the new appointment, suggesting that Tudor’s approach could maximize the squad’s potential. He noted Tudor’s success at Juventus after taking over in March.

“They (Juventus) often played with five at the back under Tudor, which might concern some Spurs fans. However, they were aggressive and vertical when they regained possession,” Townsend commented on BBC 5 Live Sport. “I wonder if Micky Van de Ven can fill the left center-back position with his pace and ability to get up and down the pitch.”
