Antoine Semenyo has named one Manchester United player in his Premier League Team of the Season, despite the club’s struggles early on this year.
The first half of the season was challenging for Manchester United, leading to the firing of Ruben Amorim in January. However, there has been a notable turnaround since Michael Carrick took over as interim head coach.
Under Carrick, United has become more stable, winning three consecutive matches and boosting their chances for a top-four finish.

With 14 matches still remaining in the season, discussions about the best Premier League players are underway.
During an event with Sky Sports, Antoine Semenyo from Man City shared his Team of the Season, which included only one player from United.
While many might expect Bruno Fernandes to be selected, Semenyo chose Patrick Dorgu instead, despite Dorgu’s standout performances often being in more advanced roles.
Carrick believes Dorgu will recover well from his injury, and fans are eager to see him back on the field soon.
Dorgu played as a wing-back under Amorim, but with Carrick now managing, and Tino Livramento taking on left-back duties, it’s possible Dorgu may transition to a more attacking position in the future. The main question is whether he’ll adapt to this new role or revert to defense.
Patrick Dorgu’s Performance This Season
Dorgu has appeared in 24 matches for United this season, with 22 of those in the Premier League.
He has started 14 league games, missing the last two due to injury.
His contributions include three goals and three assists, showing his potential to grow further once he returns to the pitch. There’s optimism that he can deliver even more in the remainder of the season if he recovers fully.
