• Arsenal secured a 2-1 victory against Chelsea, with all goals coming from corner kicks.

  • Saliba’s deflected header opened the scoring, but Hincapie’s own goal equalized just before half-time.

  • Timber’s header in the 66th minute, from Rice’s well-placed corner, proved to be the winning goal.

  • Neto was sent off shortly after receiving a booking for dissent, leaving Chelsea to play with ten men.

With this win, Arsenal regained their five-point advantage at the top of the Premier League against a ten-man Chelsea.

The match, held at Emirates Stadium, saw all three goals result from corner situations.

Arsenal struck first in the 21st minute when Gabriel Magalhaes connected with Bukayo Saka’s corner, and William Saliba’s header found the net after deflecting off Mamadou Sarr.

Chelsea created their own chances from corners, and after David Raya made an excellent save to stop Jorrel Hato—who was being held by Declan Rice—Piero Hincapie scored an own goal just before the half-time whistle, leveling the score.

Joao Pedro had a penalty shout turned down and later had a header saved, but Arsenal capitalized again on set pieces when Rice delivered a perfect corner to Timber, catching Robert Sanchez out of position.
