Marcus Rashford is close to a move to Barcelona this summer after a strong performance during his loan at Camp Nou.

He scored ten goals and provided 13 assists in 38 matches, catching the attention of coach Hansi Flick in his first La Liga season.

The deal includes a £26 million buy option, which many see as a good deal for Barcelona.

His salary has reportedly been settled, making the transfer nearly official.

However, new information from Mundo Deportivo raises some questions about the certainty of the transfer.

The Spanish media outlet reports that Barcelona is also considering Chelsea’s Pedro Neto as an alternative to Rashford.

Neto, who is 26 years old, has played 42 times this season, scoring ten goals and assisting six for Chelsea.

While his numbers are lower than Rashford’s, his ability to play on both wings and challenge defenses has caught Barcelona’s interest.

Additionally, Neto’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has connections with Barcelona’s board, particularly Deco, which could aid the pursuit.

Currently, no formal approach has been made for Neto, as Barcelona is still assessing their options.

The club is also watching former Barcelona players Abde Ezzalzouli of Real Betis and Jan Virgili from RCD Mallorca.

The ongoing interest in wingers, even with Rashford’s strong showing, raises questions about how committed Barcelona is to signing him this summer.
