Manchester United player Sekou Kone has gained attention after his latest game with Lausanne.
After starting last week, Kone returned to the bench for the next two matches.
However, he seized his opportunity in a recent 3-2 win against Grasshopper, coming off the bench for 29 minutes. This marked Lausanne’s second consecutive victory.
Kone also achieved his first shot on target for the team, hitting a long-range effort that required a save from the goalkeeper.
He recorded 17 touches, made two tackles, and completed four ball recoveries during the game.

Kone has played in five matches for Lausanne, accumulating 184 minutes on the field.
After his latest performance, he shared a photo in his Lausanne kit on Instagram, which attracted many supportive comments.
Mali international teammate Ibrahim Diarra, who joined Barcelona’s academy in 2025, commented: “Tienes mucho talento,” which translates to “You are too talented.”
He also received encouragement from Manchester United juniors Jack Fletcher, Tyler Fredricson, Samuel Lusale, Ethan Wheatley, and Bassirou Nkoto.
This support highlights the positive momentum for the 19-year-old during his first loan stint away from Manchester United.
Sekou Kone aims to bounce back after an early setback
Kone’s loan to Lausanne began with challenges, including being excluded from their Europa Conference League squad.
The team was quickly eliminated from the tournament, losing to Sigma Olomouc.
With their European run over, there may be fewer rotation opportunities, but Kone continues to get playing time.
It seems likely that he could be in line for another start soon.
