Bayern Munich has several players with expiring contracts, either this summer or soon after, as previously reported.
We now have updates regarding three of these players, including two with contracts ending this year.
Bayern Munich Contracts Update: Serge Gnabry Extends His Stay Until 2028
The good news is that Gnabry has signed a two-year extension, keeping him at Bayern until 2028.
Since joining in 2018, Gnabry has won six Bundesliga titles, a UEFA Champions League trophy, and a FIFA Club World Cup among other achievements.
He embodies what is known in Germany as “the Bayern gene,” which is the commitment to win every match and trophy, whether it’s a Champions League final or a friendly.
In his years at the club, he has learned what it takes to succeed, making this extension beneficial for everyone involved.
Although he hasn’t always started, especially when Jamal Musiala was out, he has often stepped up when called upon by coach Vincent Kompany, highlighting his positive contribution to the team.
Sacha Boey Loaned to Galatasaray with Buy Option
In another update, Bayern announced on February 5 that Boey has been loaned back to Galatasaray for the remainder of the season.
He has a contract with Bayern until 2028 but has become less important under Kompany, serving primarily as a backup right-back.
Since arriving from Turkey in January 2024, he was initially a needed addition due to depth issues in defense.
However, he has played just 38 matches and won one Bundesliga title and a German Super Cup in his two years at the club.
His loan is possible because the winter transfer window in Turkey remains open, unlike in the Bundesliga, which closed on February 2.
