Bayern Munich maintained their strong performance without Harry Kane, defeating 10-man Borussia Monchengladbach 4-1 at Allianz Arena.
Luis Diaz scored the first goal and assisted Konrad Laimer, while Jamal Musiala and Nicolas Jackson added to the scoreline, putting Bayern 14 points ahead in the Bundesliga.
Lennart Karl thought he had scored in the 11th minute, but the goal was ruled offside. However, Bayern took the lead just before the 30-minute mark when Diaz volleyed in a pass from Leon Goretzka.
In first-half stoppage time, a quick Bayern counter-attack set up by Diaz allowed Laimer to score from the right side of the box.
The match was effectively settled in the 57th minute when Gladbach captain Rocco Reitz was sent off for fouling Jackson, leading to Musiala scoring from the penalty spot, marking his first league goal this season.
Jackson found the net again in the 79th minute, finishing off a low cross from Karl. Wael Mohya scored a late goal for Gladbach, converting a rebound after Jonas Urbig saved Fabio Chiarodia’s shot.
