Diego Gomez and Danny Welbeck scored as Brighton defeated Nottingham Forest 2-1 at the Amex Stadium.

The match kicked off with an exciting first 15 minutes, with both teams finding the net. Gomez struck first with a brilliant half-volley in the sixth minute. Gibbs-White quickly replied with a stunning 25-yard goal, curling the ball past Bart Verbruggen.

Brighton regained the lead in the 15th minute when Josh Hinshelwood redirected Kaoru Mitoma’s cross to Welbeck, who scored from close range.

Mitoma had a chance stopped by Matz Sels after great teamwork with Welbeck, who also thwarted a diving header from Hinshelwood.

Gibbs-White and Forest substitute Taiwo Awoniyi both missed clear chances in the second half, but Brighton secured the win, leaving Forest just two points above the relegation zone.
