Tottenham Faces Multiple Injuries This Season

Tottenham has been dealing with several injury issues in recent seasons, and now they could have another defender added to their list of concerns.

Young defender Kota Takai may be sidelined after missing a recent training session with Borussia Mönchengladbach. Reports indicate he has returned to London for medical staff at Hotspur Way to assess a muscle strain he’s been experiencing, which has kept him out of the last few matches.

Will Kota Takai Miss Another Game?

Takai was one of several players absent as the German club prepared for their match against St. Pauli. He has already missed matches against Bayern Munich and Union Berlin due to injury and is likely to miss another game.

The coaching team at Gladbach believes that the upcoming Friday match may be too soon for him to recover in time to participate.

With ongoing concerns about his condition, Tottenham has decided to have him evaluated further in London.

Adding to worries, Gladbach’s head coach Eugen Polanski mentioned that there is no clear timeline for Takai’s return, stating:

“He was running on Saturday. If he can’t train individually with the ball today, it probably won’t be enough. But I’m happy to be proven wrong.”

Player’s Recent Performance

Takai joined Borussia Mönchengladbach on loan during the winter transfer window to gain valuable playing time. He quickly became a part of their squad, making six appearances in the first half of the season.

This latest injury risk disrupts his progress, and the decision to monitor him in London shows the caution both clubs are exercising regarding his health.

For Tottenham, the focus now is to ensure Takai receives appropriate treatment before he returns to play. The priority is not only to bring him back quickly but to avoid further injury issues as they approach the next season.
