Noah Streit, a forward from FC Basel 1893 in the Swiss Super League, has transferred to CF Montreal as of Monday.

The 20-year-old from Biel, Switzerland, has signed a contract that lasts until the end of the 2028-29 season, with an option for 2029-30. If Streit is sold to another club, FC Basel will receive a share of the transfer fee.

CF Montreal’s managing director of recruitment and sporting methodology, Luca Saputo, expressed excitement about Streit joining the team. He described Streit as a strong left winger who can create chances and significantly contribute to the offense, matching the team’s requirements to enhance their attack.

Last season, Streit was on loan at Neuchatel Xamax FCS in the Challenger League, where he scored two goals and provided two assists in 18 league games. He also netted one goal in three matches in the Swiss Cup.

Streit began his journey in FC Basel’s academy in 2016 after moving from FC Biel-Bienne 1896. He progressed to Basel’s U16 team for the 2020-21 season and moved up to FC Basel II in 2022-23, where he recorded nine goals and two assists over 53 matches across three seasons.
