Thomas Frank has been relieved of his duties as Tottenham’s manager.

Tottenham Hotspur is back at square one, just eight months after winning the Europa League. The club’s leadership now needs to find an effective head coach to navigate this challenging season.

Frank’s dismissal followed a disappointing defeat to Newcastle United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which tested the management’s already limited patience.

With the North London derby approaching in just 11 days, the club aims to appoint a new head coach by Monday.

Mauricio Pochettino is a favored candidate among supporters. Other serious contenders include Robbie Keane and Roberto de Zerbi.

New name surfaces: Edin Terzic

A new candidate has emerged, with The Telegraph reporting that former Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic is interested in the Tottenham role if approached.

Although there has been no official contact with Terzic, it is noted that he has been waiting for a Premier League opportunity, turning down several high-profile positions in Europe, including one from Monaco.

Terzic has a solid track record with Borussia Dortmund, leading them to the Champions League finals in 2024. However, his tenure ended following conflicts with senior players over tactics and management style.

He is not unfamiliar with England, having previously served as an assistant at West Ham United under Slaven Bilic.

Future Prospects

Terzic has been out of coaching for some time and would bring ambition to Tottenham, which is crucial for the club at this point.

Additionally, with Tottenham still in the Champions League, his experience could help them advance in the tournament.

It remains to be seen if Tottenham will provide Terzic with the support necessary for success.
