Chelsea secured a late victory against West Ham, creating excitement at Stamford Bridge.

Under Liam Rosenior, the team has won six out of seven matches. However, there are areas he will need to improve following this London derby.

Rosenior brought on Joao Pedro and Marc Cucurella from the bench to try to change the game, and it was Enzo Fernandez who scored the crucial goal in stoppage time.

This match highlighted the challenges of squad rotation in the Premier League for Rosenior.

While the focus is on matches, Chelsea is still working on player transfers during the January window, looking to let go of some players not in their future plans.

David Datro Fofana is among those players. He is currently on loan at Fatih Karagumruk in Turkey and hasn’t played for the first team this season.

Reports from Marc Mechenoua indicate that Auxerre has made an offer, and Fofana is interested in joining them.

Mechenoua stated: “Datro Fofana has requested to join Auxerre. AJA is offering Chelsea a paid loan of €500,000 with a mandatory €5M purchase option if they stay in the league, along with a percentage on resale. Mallorca is also interested, offering a loan with a non-mandatory purchase option of €8M.”

Chelsea is open to selling Fofana

Since joining Chelsea, the Ivorian striker has been on loan at Union Berlin, Burnley, Goztepe, and Karagumruk.

It is clear that he does not fit into Chelsea’s future plans. Reports suggest that the club is ready to sell him permanently.

Celtic showed interest in Fofana before, but he is now likely to move to another European club.
