Even though Ben Jacobs has downplayed connections between Palmer and United, a close friend of the Chelsea player suggested that a future move is possible.
During an Instagram Q&A, musician Tunde was asked about Palmer’s potential transfer to United and replied: “Very high.”
This post has since been deleted, but it has amplified concerns among Chelsea fans about a potential departure.
At present, there’s no indication that Palmer wants to leave. In fact, he seems content in his situation.
He’s formed a solid partnership with Joao Pedro, both on and off the pitch.
Chelsea have taken precautions to guard against Cole Palmer’s exit
If a lifelong United supporter is approached by the club, it might be challenging for Chelsea to keep him.
When Chelsea signed Palmer, they secured a long-term contract with him, reportedly lasting until 2033.
With seven years remaining on his deal, Chelsea could demand a significant transfer fee should it come to that.
Currently, only PSG might be able to meet such demands, easing immediate concerns about Palmer leaving.
