Manchester United‘s youth program continues to develop talented players, with another defender recently receiving international experience.

During international breaks, younger players often join senior teams for training, which helps them see what top-level preparation looks like.

This week has shown that this practice is still ongoing.

A United player has gained an important chance with England’s senior team.

According to an exclusive from Sky Sports’ Danyal Khan and Rob Dorsett, Manchester United defender Ayden Heaven was invited to train with the England first-team squad ahead of their match against Uruguay on Friday.

The 19-year-old, currently part of England’s Under-20 team, was among a select few brought in to assist Thomas Tuchel’s training session.

Ayden Heaven is set to rejoin the Under-20 squad for their game against Italy later this week after this international break.

His temporary step up to senior training will provide a significant boost as he continues his growth as a player.

Ayden Heaven has been advancing since he joined Manchester United early last year.

The club signed him from Arsenal in February 2025 for about £1 million, viewing him as a future defensive asset.

Heaven earned the club’s Player of the Month award in December 2025, showing his rising impact at Old Trafford.

He caught attention towards the end of Ruben Amorim’s time as manager and may soon get more playing time under Michael Carrick, especially after Harry Maguire’s recent suspension.

While training with England’s senior team is a brief opportunity, it marks an important milestone in Heaven’s development and indicates that his progress is being noticed at a top level.
