England officially qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America by defeating Latvia 5-0 in their recent match. Under the management of Thomas Tuchel, the Three Lions became the first European team to secure direct qualification for the World Cup with two matches remaining in their UEFA Group K qualifying campaign.

England’s performance in this qualifying round has been impressive: they scored 18 goals and conceded none in six matches.

Anthony Gordon scored the first goal for England. Harry Kane followed up with two goals, and a Latvian player contributed an own goal. Substitute Eberechi Eze added a late goal to secure the victory.
