Everton is set on keeping midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, as Tottenham Hotspur has shown significant interest. According to journalist Pete O’Rourke from Football Insider, Everton plans to prevent any transfer move for the playmaker this summer.

Everton Firm on Keeping Dewsbury-Hall

This season, Dewsbury-Hall has performed well, scoring five goals and providing two assists in nineteen Premier League matches. Everton sees him as a crucial part of their future and aims to enhance their squad without losing their key creative players.

The report indicates that Tottenham considers him a primary target to boost their midfield. However, a strong refusal is expected from Everton’s management. The player is committed to Everton until at least 2030, giving the club considerable leverage in negotiations.

Former scout Mick Brown noted that Everton’s resolve to retain Dewsbury-Hall might increase if they don’t sign Jack Grealish permanently. Grealish has been notable during his loan from Manchester City, but the £50 million buy option poses a financial hurdle for Everton. Thus, retaining Dewsbury-Hall has become even more crucial as the team looks to sustain its creative edge, particularly alongside Iliman Ndiaye.

Is Everton’s position on Dewsbury-Hall a shift in their long-term strategy?
