Reports indicate that Everton is leading the race to acquire Genoa right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy this summer. Calciomercato IT, as shared by Sport Witness, states that the club showed serious interest during the January transfer window.

They faced competition from West Ham, Inter Milan, and Juventus for his signing. However, no club matched the asking price for the former Arsenal player last month. Journalists anticipate a notable change in the situation by July.

Genoa insider Pino Brenzini spoke to Radio Napoli Centrale to shed light on the current scenario. TuttoNapoli reported his insights, confirming that Inter, Juventus, and clubs from the Premier League discussed a fee between €16-17 million (£13-14 million).

Brenzini highlighted Everton as the frontrunner for next season, mentioning that Genoa officials prefer selling players abroad rather than to Serie A competitors.

“We’ve heard some talk between Inter, Juventus, and the Premier League, involving a fee of €16-17m.”
