Tottenham Needs Quality Signings This Summer
Tottenham is facing challenges as they fight to stay in the Premier League with the season coming to a close. The team is currently five points above the relegation zone and has 12 matches left to secure their place in the top division of English football.
It’s essential for the team to achieve positive results in their upcoming games to maintain their top-flight status. This will be necessary for keeping key players and attracting new talent this summer. Last summer, Spurs invested heavily, bringing in eight new players with a focus on enhancing their attack by signing Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus, and Randal Kolo Muani.
This transfer window was the last for Daniel Levy, who was removed from his position as Executive Chairman at the start of the new season. The Lewis family has expressed a desire to prioritize Tottenham’s sporting success, something Levy was unable to achieve during his long tenure. Supporters are hoping the ENIC shareholders will help bring in high-quality players in the months ahead.
Tottenham Must Attract Top Players for Next Season
Tottenham is not performing at the level expected in the Premier League this season. They are in the lower half of the table and finding it hard to secure consistent results. Therefore, it is crucial for them to end the season on a high note and focus on acquiring players who can make a significant impact next season.
Keith Wyness has called on Tottenham to invest in marquee signings following Daniel Levy’s exit. On the Inside Track podcast (via Football Insider), Wyness stated,
“I think they have to spend in the summer. I think this is something they’ve really got to do. I think that Spurs, the whole reason I think of the shift away from Daniel Levy was that they now feel they’ve got to get more aggressive. I don’t think Daniel [Levy] had been seen as being that aggressive in terms of getting it right on the pitch. So they’re going to have to show that they can do a better job.”
