Joshua Zirkzee is a forward who may be utilized by caretaker manager Michael Carrick upon his return from injury.

The striker joined Manchester United in 2024 and has played 16 matches this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

In his last four games, he contributed a goal and an assist, helping the team secure important points.

Additionally, the 24-year-old has created eight chances and completed three successful dribbles, supporting United’s attack and pushing the team forward.

However, since facing Brighton and Hove Albion in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round, Zirkzee has been sidelined due to injury.

Earlier this month, he mentioned he would be out for two weeks, but he did not confirm if this would affect a potential transfer from Old Trafford.

Reports suggest Zirkzee is close to returning and has been training on the grass this week.

It remains uncertain whether he will be fit to join the matchday squad for the game against Fulham tomorrow at Old Trafford, starting at 2pm.

If he doesn’t return for this game, it is believed his comeback will happen soon.

Zirkzee’s role in the remaining Premier League matches could be significant unless he moves away from Manchester United during the transfer window.

Meanwhile, with players like Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Amad, United’s attacking capabilities are strong and will benefit further from Zirkzee’s return.
