The latest week of Fantasy Premier League has concluded. With the January transfer window now closed, how is your team holding up?
In the last Premier League matchweek, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United recorded significant victories. Meanwhile, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and West Ham United faced losses. Let’s check out the standout individual performances from this week.
Goalkeepers
This week, two goalkeepers topped the charts with ten points each: Djordje Petrovic from Bournemouth and Caoimhin Kelleher from Brentford.
Overall, there were not many exceptional goalkeeping performances. Only David Raya and Robin Roefs managed to achieve clean sheets.
Nick Pope and Guglielmo Vicario had underwhelming weeks, as both ended with just one point despite being among the most expensive goalkeepers in Fantasy Premier League.
Defenders
Two defenders, Ibrahima Konate and Reinildo, both achieved 11 points this week. If you had either player in your squad, congratulations!
Sunderland defenders Dom Ballard and Nordi Mukiele also had strong performances, earning nine points each.
On the downside, some defenders scored negatively, with Axel Tuanzebe and Neco Williams both finishing at -2 points, while Gabriel Gudmundsson from Leeds scored -1.
Midfielders
The top midfielder honors go to Arsenal’s Noni Madueke and Sunderland’s Habib Diarra, who each scored 14 points for their excellent performances against Leeds and Burnley, respectively.
Alex Scott and Casemiro also had great weeks, scoring 13 points each, even though they were selected by less than 2% of Fantasy Premier League players.
Brentford’s Kevin Schade, unfortunately, had a rough outing. Despite the team securing a vital win against Aston Villa, Schade was sent off early in the match and ended the week with -2 points.
Forwards
Hugo Ekitike impressed again, netting two goals against Newcastle United for a total of 13 points.
Dominic Solanke also had a strong week, scoring two goals against Manchester City and earning 12 points. Additionally, Chelsea’s Joao Pedro contributed significantly with 10 points.
In contrast, Newcastle’s forwards Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa struggled, each only managing to score one point during the match against Liverpool. Woltemade had a brief appearance, coming on as a substitute for just 17 minutes.
