Everton was very active on transfer deadline day.
The deal for Tyrique George was completed, but it required extra time. Meanwhile, Dwight McNeil was in talks to move to Crystal Palace for £20m.
However, Crystal Palace backed out at the last moment, leaving McNeil and his partner disappointed, as seen on Instagram.
Before these events, Everton had already faced issues in trying to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Fenerbahce and N’Golo Kante from Al Ittihad.
According to Fabrizio Romano, FIFA intervened to block those transfers.
