Malappuram: In the upcoming second season of the Super League, Muhammad Rizwan will join Malappuram FC. He has been signed from Gokulam Kerala. At just 20 years old, he hails from Mukkom in Kozhikode. Rizwan can play effectively on both wings and excels in scoring and providing assists.
Rizwan began his career with the youth team of FC Arikkod. He played in the Reliance Development League for the 2022-23 season and the Kerala Premier League for the 2023-24 season, scoring five goals. His impressive performance caught the attention of Gokulam Kerala, where he also played in the 2024-25 season’s Development League and Kerala Premier League, scoring four more goals.
Additionally, he has played for the Goa first division club, Sporting Clube Candolim. In 2023, he was part of the Malappuram district team for the Under-20 Youth Championship. He has also represented Kozhikode in the state school football championship. Malappuram is preparing a strong squad under the guidance of scouting director Anas Edathodika.
