The England international has revealed why he left Premier League’s Tottenham Hotspur-where he spent 10 years- for the German side.
Ballon d’Or Prospects At Bayern
Kane believes his transfer to Bayern in 2023 has provided him with an opportunity to win a Ballon d’Or.
“Just being at a club like Bayern Munich has helped push me on even more, confidence-wise and responsibility-wise,” Harry Kane said.
“I feel like I’ve definitely got better, I’ve improved, and maybe the ‘aura’ of me as a player is a bit more respected than what it has been in the past, because you’re playing in big games, big nights.
“I felt that last season as well, I scored over 40 goals, but obviously, I was never going to win the Ballon d’Or because we didn’t win the team trophies.
“Those opportunities are there. That’s probably what I mean in terms of being respected more worldwide, on the bigger stage.
“For something like that, you have to win enough team trophies to be considered in that and probably score 40-odd goals, but that is a possibility this season.
“That is definitely something I would love to try to achieve.”

Title Draught At Tottenham
Kane also added that he saw no such opportunities at Tottenham who could not top the table and finished second in the Premier League in the 2016-2017 season which was its last best performance. Tottenham last won a title in the form of the League Cup in the 2007-2008 season.
“I felt that no matter how many goals I scored at Tottenham, I could never be a candidate for the Ballon d’Or if I didn’t win in the league and UEFA Champions League (UCL). I ranked 10th in the Ballon d’Or during my time at Tottenham. That was probably the best I could do”, he added
Harry Kane (31) has not won a single title in his career and is hoping to break the jinx with Bayern Munich this season where they are primed to finish as table toppers.
