Igor Tudor suffers consecutive defeats as Tottenham’s interim head coach.

Tottenham Hotspur’s struggles intensified on Sunday as they fell 2-1 to Fulham. This loss at Craven Cottage marked the tenth consecutive game without a win in the Premier League, leaving Tottenham in a precarious 16th place with only ten matches left.

Fulham took an early lead in the seventh minute, with Harry Wilson scoring his ninth goal of the season. However, the goal was contentious, as Spurs interim manager Igor Tudor argued it should have been disallowed due to an incident involving Raul Jimenez and Radu Dragusin during a corner kick. Oscar Bobb assisted Wilson, who volleyed home past Guglielmo Vicario from six yards.

In the 34th minute, Alex Iwobi increased Fulham’s lead with a shot from 18 yards that went in off the post, following a good exchange with Wilson. Fulham missed several chances to extend their lead, and Tottenham managed to reduce the deficit in the 66th minute with a header from Richarlison. However, this turned out to be Tottenham’s only shot on target, and Fulham held on to secure the win.

Igor Tudor addresses Tottenham’s relegation concerns

Igor Tudor is tasked with improving the team’s performance, but his early tenure has been challenging, resulting in two losses. After a disappointing outcome against Arsenal, the team needed to show improvement but couldn’t deliver against Fulham.

Tudor mentioned not discussing relegation with his players. Following the match, he was asked about the possibility of relegation. He replied in an interview with Sky Sports: “We are just thinking about the next game. We don’t need to think about that [relegation], not because it cannot happen, but we must focus on growing mentality as a team, concentration, and physicality. These are the only goals we must have.”

Relegation concerns grow for Tottenham

Sunday’s match was tough for Tottenham, but it could have been worse if Fulham had capitalized on their chances.

This defeat was damaging, especially since both West Ham and Nottingham Forest lost their matches, giving Tottenham a chance to create some distance from the relegation zone. Instead, they remain just four points clear of 18th-placed West Ham.

Tudor has repeatedly pointed out the “big problems” at the club, and if these issues are not addressed quickly, relegation could become a reality. Thursday’s home match against Crystal Palace is crucial for the team.
