In the AFC Asian qualifiers in Singapore, India fought hard after falling behind by a goal and secured a 1-1 draw against Singapore. In the first half, just before the break, Ikhsan Fandi scored in the 45+1 minute to give the home team the lead. Shortly after, Indian player Sandesh Jhingan received a red card, leaving India with ten players, which put them under significant pressure for the rest of the match.

Despite this setback, India showed strong defense and determination in the second half. Their efforts paid off in the 90th minute when Rahim Ali scored, capitalizing on an error in Singapore’s defense. Ali snatched the ball from the goalkeeper and found the empty net, securing a point for India.

As a result, India now has 2 points from 3 matches, while Singapore holds a better position with 5 points.
