The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has officially named Inter Kashi FC the champions of the I-League for the 2024-25 season. This victory allows them to move up to the Indian Super League (ISL), the country’s top-tier league. This promotion comes after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) annulled the AIFF Appeals Committee’s previous decisions related to player registrations, benefiting Inter Kashi significantly.
With the CAS ruling in their favor, Inter Kashi was able to reclaim points they had lost due to earlier disputes, securing first place in the league table with 42 points. They are two points ahead of second-placed Church Brothers.
Their championship was clinched in a decisive match against Rajasthan United, where they scored two goals in stoppage time, winning 3-1. With the AIFF’s official confirmation, Inter Kashi can compete in the ISL next season, provided they meet the financial and technical requirements.
