The Karnataka government has given the green light for IPL matches and international cricket events to resume at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This approval comes after a ban was imposed due to an incident in June 2025, where 11 people lost their lives during celebrations following the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) maiden IPL title victory. After a long wait, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) received a favorable response. To prevent any unfortunate events from happening again, measures will be taken to ensure safety at the stadium during future matches.
