Everton is approaching the transfer deadline and still has not secured any new signings.
The transfer window has been open for over a month, but Everton’s activity remains limited as the deadline nears.
Manager David Moyes expects to bring in at least one more player before the 7pm GMT deadline, in addition to Tyrique George, who is set to join on loan.
Moyes has expressed a particular interest in acquiring a new striker, with Ivan Toney being mentioned as a potential addition in recent weeks.
Toney’s name has surfaced as speculation continues regarding his future.

Al-Ahli has remained firm that Toney will not be leaving this winter, despite the ongoing rumors.
Securing a deal for him would have been challenging because of financial commitments in Saudi Arabia.
Toney shared his views with The Mirror, stating he wishes to stay in Saudi Arabia to enhance his chances of making it to England’s World Cup squad.
He mentioned, “I feel like I’m doing well right now and that continuing to score goals [here in Saudi] will give me a stronger chance to get to what could be my only World Cup.”
Meanwhile, Beto has caught the attention of European teams ahead of the deadline, but Moyes would likely not part with the 28-year-old without having a direct replacement ready.
Even after Beto’s recent equalizer against Brighton, many would see Toney as a preferable option if he were to join.
The Outlook for Everton’s Striker Search
With time running short, the prospect of making a deal seems bleak, as most clubs prefer to retain key players as the window closes.
Earlier today, Ricardo Pepi was set to join Fulham, but PSV Eindhoven’s decision not to proceed may have changed that.
This situation likely pushes Everton’s search to the summer window when more players will be available and negotiations can occur more freely.
The Toffees have expressed interest in Troy Parrott among other targets, making him a player to watch moving forward.
However, if Parrott performs well at the World Cup, his value could increase, which may complicate Everton’s pursuit later on.
