John Terry recently participated in the Icon Series, representing England against a Rest of the World team that included stars like Gareth Bale, Gianfranco Zola, and Gabriel Batistuta.
During the event, Terry chose an all-time XI from both clubs, which included a decision between the Arsenal and Chelsea versions of Cesc Fabregas.
Terry opted for the Arsenal version and suggested that Fabregas could one day manage one of those clubs. Fabregas is currently in the spotlight as the manager of Como in Serie A.
Speaking on Icon Series’ TikTok, Terry mentioned, “I picked the Fabregas from Arsenal because of his time there. In the year we won the league under Conte, I felt he had the best football intelligence I’ve seen. His understanding of the game explains why he’s succeeding at Como. He will be a very successful manager and may one day lead Chelsea or Arsenal.”
Fabregas praises Liam Rosenior after Chelsea’s cup loss
Fabregas has expressed positive remarks about Rosenior since his appointment, even as Chelsea has gone through three managers in a year following the dismissals of Mauricio Pochettino and Enzo Maresca.
“Given the squad’s characteristics and the club’s environment, he’s a good fit. I like what I’ve seen from Liam so far,” Fabregas said in an interview with FIVE UK.
“I’m hearing great things about his coaching style, so let’s give him time. So far, things look promising.”
While Chelsea fans may still be uncertain about Rosenior, both Terry and Fabregas have shown their support for him.
He has just begun his journey at Stamford Bridge, and not every manager has an instant impact like Carlo Ancelotti did.
