Juventus has been a significant force in Italian football, but it has been six years since they last won the Serie A title.

Currently in fourth place, Juventus has struggled to outdo their third-place finish since the 2019/20 season when they were champions.

In these six years, Juventus has only secured two Supercoppa Italianas and one Coppa Italia, despite having a roster filled with talented players.

Luciano Spalletti’s team includes prominent players like Khephren Thuram, Teun Koopmeiners, Dusan Vlahovic, and Jonathan David.

However, Juventus might lose one of their key midfielders, as Manchester United is reportedly interested in strengthening their squad.

According to Calcio Mercato, Manchester United is eyeing Juventus captain Manuel Locatelli for their midfield overhaul.

The Red Devils have admired Locatelli since his time at Sassuolo, and they are now considering a move.

The Italian outlet states that the United management has targeted him as part of their midfield rebuild, which is expected to undergo significant changes this summer.

It’s already known that veteran midfielder Casemiro will leave Old Trafford when his contract ends.

Manuel Ugarte is still struggling to make his mark in the first team, which could result in his departure as well.

Manchester United is focusing on acquiring players like Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton, or Carlos Baleba this summer, but they may also look to bring in another midfielder.

As a result, the links between United and Locatelli may grow stronger in the coming months, with ample time left before the summer transfer window opens.
