Kannur: The Komban’s FC team in Thiruvananthapuram has started their Super League Kerala journey with a victory against Kannur Warriors FC, winning 3-0. The team scored early in the first half to take control of the match. Despite some resistance from Komban’s in the second half, they added two more goals to secure the win. For Kannur Warriors, Shijin T, Senegalese player Abdul Kareem Samba each scored a goal, while Komban’s defender Felipe Alves scored an own goal. C.K. Ubaid’s importance as a goalkeeper for Kannur Warriors was evident in the first match. He saved three certain goals from Komban’s FC in the first half, with two saves being of international quality. Throughout the match, he ensured that defenders and midfielders maintained their positions effectively.

Nicolás and Vikas Combination

Argentinian player Nicolás Delmonte and Vikas made a strong impact in defense, successfully shutting down Komban’s attacks. They not only played solid defense but also helped maintain ball possession to keep the match under Kannur Warriors’ control. Nicolás joined the team in September but had to return to Spain due to a family health issue. He rejoined the team last Thursday, boosting their strength. Midfielder Nidal, who came on as a substitute, also had a great performance, effectively dealing with Komban’s fast and strong offense.
