Kannur: Kerala Blasters player Abin Das will join the Kannur Warriors Football Club in the Super League on a contractual basis. He is a midfielder and will benefit the team with his ability to play both defensively and offensively. His style includes controlling the game and scoring goals.
Abin previously played for the Kerala Blasters reserve team and made his debut for the senior team in the Super Cup for the 2024-25 season against Mohun Bagan Super Giants. He scored six goals in 13 matches during his time in the Kerala Premier League last season.
Abin has represented India at the Under-16, Under-19, and Under-20 levels. He first wore the Indian jersey during the Under-16 tournament held in Dubai in the 2020-21 season, where he scored against a club from Abu Dhabi. He won the best player award from the Kerala Football Association that year. He has also played in the SAFF Cup and Asian Cup at the Under-20 level. In 2023, he was part of the Indian team that won the SAFF Cup for the Under-19 category. He scored ten goals, including two hat-tricks, in six matches for Kerala in the Under-14 category of the National Football Championship.
He has also played for Little Flower Football Academy and Gokulam Kerala FC. Abin hails from Pozhiiyur in Thiruvananthapuram.
