New Delhi, September 25, 2025: After a wait of 64 years, Kerala has won the Subroto Mukherjee International Football Tournament for the first time. Farooq Higher Secondary School represented Kerala, with Gokulam Kerala FC providing training and sponsorship for the team.

In the final match, Kerala (Farooq HSS) defeated CBSE (Amenity Public School, Uttarakhand) with a score of 2-0.
Goals were scored by John Cena at the 20th minute and Adi Krishnan at the 60th minute.

This victory marks a significant chapter in Kerala’s football journey, as the team scored a total of 10 goals throughout the tournament.
They conceded only 2 goals, showcasing their strong defense.

VP Sunir is the head coach, while Manoj Kumar serves as the goalkeeper coach. The team also includes physiotherapist Noyel Sajo, manager Abhinav, and staff members Shajeer Ali and Jaleel PS. Mohammed Jaseem Ali is the team captain.

This achievement highlights the foundational training and exposure provided through cooperation between Gokulam Kerala FC and Farooq HSS, aimed at developing and supporting young talent. This collaboration not only helped Kerala secure the long-awaited Subroto Cup title but also emphasized the importance of professional football structure at the school level.
