Napoli has confirmed that Kevin De Bruyne sustained a serious ankle injury during the 3-1 victory against Inter Milan on Saturday. The Belgian midfielder scored the first goal with a penalty but later withdrew from the match, holding his right ankle.

Medical tests revealed a high-grade injury to the biceps femoris muscle. As a result, De Bruyne will be sidelined until the New Year (2026). He has played a crucial role in keeping Napoli at the top of Serie A this season, contributing four goals and several assists after joining from Manchester City. Known as one of the best midfielders in Europe, his creative influence has been evident. Teammates were seen comforting him after the injury.

Images later surfaced showing him on the bench with crutches.
