David Martinez scored in the second half, leading Los Angeles FC to a 1-0 win over FC Dallas on Saturday night. LAFC remains unbeaten and has not allowed a goal this season.

Hector Lloris made a key save against Petar Musa in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time, achieving his third consecutive shutout for LAFC (3-0-0, 9 points). Lloris recorded five saves, marking his 27th clean sheet in 68 appearances for the team.

LAFC has outscored opponents 6-0 this season. Just before the end, Musa redirected a cross from Herman Johansson, but Lloris quickly reacted to block the shot with both hands.

FC Dallas (1-1-1, 4 points) stayed competitive thanks to solid goalkeeping from Michael Collodi, who made five saves, including two critical stops against LAFC’s Denis Bouanga in the second half.

Historically, FC Dallas has struggled at LAFC, holding a record of 0-7-1. They have been outscored 14-3 in those matches.

Martinez scored the game’s only goal in the 55th minute, firing a powerful left-footed shot from outside the box that deflected off Collodi before entering the net.

This was Martinez’s second goal of the season, and he has now scored nine goals in 49 MLS matches.

LAFC nearly extended their lead in the 70th minute when Bouanga had a chance, but Collodi blocked his right-footed flick.

Bouanga had another opportunity in the 79th minute, but his close-range shot was again saved by Collodi.

While FC Dallas outshot Los Angeles 14-10, LAFC led in shots on target, 6-5.

In the first half, Bouanga’s right-footed shot in the 23rd minute was saved by Collodi. Five minutes later, Bernard Kamungo from Dallas fired a left-footed shot from outside the box, which Lloris tipped over the net.

Son Heung-Min also had a chance for LAFC in the 44th minute, but Collodi made the save.

Early in the second half, Musa sent a header high over the net for FC Dallas.
