Manchester United has confirmed that young midfielder Sekou Kone will go out on loan.
Kone is valued at the club, but it was decided he needs more regular playing time to develop further. A loan seemed like the best option.
The 20-year-old has joined Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland, a team connected to United through shared ownership. He will remain there until the end of the next season.
Kone trained with Lausanne throughout January and impressed enough to earn a spot in their squad. Early reports indicate he has settled in well.

The Daily Mail reports that Lausanne is thrilled to have Kone.
Coaches have been very impressed by his skills on the ball, and there is excitement about his ability to win balls back.
Kone’s loan is seen as a test of United’s multi-club strategy, with both clubs hoping it will set a good example.
He is not the only young player from United on loan at Lausanne, as Enzo Kana-Biyik is also spending this season there.
Sekou Kone can position himself for a chance at Manchester United
In the coming months, Kone has the opportunity to gain consistent playing time and prove he is ready for a role at United.
His skills could provide valuable options in midfield, especially with Carlos Baleba facing challenges this season.
United plans to revamp their midfield by 2026, but if Kone performs well during his loan, it may reduce the need to acquire new players.
With Casemiro leaving, there will be openings in the squad for him when he returns this summer.
