Lewandowski Turns Down Offers from Saudi Arabia

Robert Lewandowski has declined several offers from Saudi clubs and will complete the season with FC Barcelona.

Sky Sports Germany’s Kerry Hau reports that discussions about Lewandowski’s future are expected in the coming weeks, as his contract expires on June 30.

“Robert Lewandowski has turned down several lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia and will see out the season with FC Barcelona.

“In the coming weeks, there will be talks with Barça about his future after the summer. The 37-year-old’s contract expires on 30 June.”

This decision gives Barcelona a clear sense of their attacking options for the rest of the season.

Lewandowski’s Impact at Barcelona Since 2022

Robert Lewandowski joined Barcelona in 2022 and has been vital to the club’s recent achievements. He has netted 78 goals in 120 matches and helped Barcelona secure two La Liga titles.

After some uncertainty regarding his future under former coach Xavi, Lewandowski revitalized his career under Hansi Flick, his previous coach at Bayern Munich, who took over Barcelona in 2024.

Last season, Lewandowski played a key role in Barcelona reaching the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2019.

This season, although he has faced fitness challenges, he has scored nine goals when available to play.
