Chelsea gears up for an important Premier League match as Liam Rosenior discusses injuries and team choices before Burnley visits Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will play again on Saturday, hosting Burnley at Stamford Bridge. This match is crucial for their top-four ambitions. The team has had a full week of training following a 4-0 FA Cup win over Hull City.

Before that, Chelsea lost points in the league, giving up a two-goal lead to Leeds United, who managed to equalize in a hectic six minutes. With consistency vital this part of the season, Rosenior has provided updates on key players.

Ahead of the match, Rosenior confirmed that Marc Cucurella is out due to a hamstring injury, but he did not specify when the defender might return.

“I can’t give a timeline for Marc. He has a hamstring issue, which is unfortunate. He’s one of the top left-backs. We have Jorrel and Mamadou. We hope he returns soon,” he said.

The Chelsea manager also updated the condition of Reece James and Cole Palmer, stating that both are evaluated daily and are currently fit.

“It’s day by day. It depends on how they feel. They trained well today and are available for selection. Their availability improves our squad,” he added.

Possible Chelsea lineup with Hato set to start

With Cucurella out, Jorrel Hato is likely to continue in the lineup after his recent good performances, while Mamadou Sarr is also vying for playtime following a strong display against Hull. Rosenior is monitoring James and Palmer’s fitness, but both are expected to participate.

On the wings, with Gittens unavailable, Chelsea can choose from Estevao, Alejandro Garnacho, and Pedro Neto for the attacking positions. Liam Delap had an impressive showing in the FA Cup match, but Joao Pedro is expected to remain in the starting lineup as Chelsea aims to solidify their top-four position against Burnley.
