Lynch, speaking to Anfield Index, confirmed that there has been no update on Isak’s expected return date, which remains unchanged. There are also no reports of any delays.

The 26-year-old is still anticipated to rejoin the team in March. The initial target was mid-March, but injuries can sometimes shift these timelines by a week or two.

“When he first got injured, mid-March was mentioned as the goal. I haven’t heard anything new since, but injury timelines can be tricky. He might return a bit later or a bit sooner,” the journalist stated.

“March is definitely when we expect to see him back in a Liverpool shirt or at least back with the squad. He could be fit around the international break, which may allow him to play for Sweden if everything stays on track. However, the question remains whether Liverpool will let him go so soon after his return.

“Sweden helped by not playing him in less important matches, so that might have an effect. But he definitely has a chance for that.”

Alexander Isak to Miss Another Eight Matches

It looks like Isak may be a few weeks away from his return, so it’s important to note which games he might miss.

Before the international break, Liverpool has five league matches lined up: Nottingham Forest, West Ham United, Wolves, Tottenham Hotspur, and Brighton.

Additionally, the FA Cup fifth round is scheduled for the weekend of March 7/8, and the Champions League last-16 matches will take place on March 10/11.

This suggests that Isak could miss up to eight more games. Lynch’s estimate for mid-March indicates he could be back in time for the match against Spurs on the 15th or Brighton on the 21st.

With his return appearing to be imminent, there is optimism that Isak will soon make a significant contribution for Liverpool.
