Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation at Al-Nassr has changed significantly as he has gone on strike, refusing to train with the team.

The famous scorer is protesting what he sees as unfair treatment of clubs by the Saudi Public Investment Fund.

Reports indicate that the former Manchester United player’s absence is to highlight Al-Nassr’s position compared to other clubs benefiting from the investment fund.

Rival team Al-Hilal has made significant moves in the transfer market, signing players like Kader Meite and Karim Benzema this winter.

These additions follow the earlier signings of Darwin Nunez and Theo Hernandez, enhancing Al-Hilal’s roster.

In contrast, although Al-Nassr has added big names such as Kingsley Coman and Joao Felix, their total spending this season has been lower at £91 million, compared to Al-Hilal’s £149 million.

Recently, Sky Sports reported that Ronaldo has seemingly ended his strike and returned to training.

This return is a positive step towards playing again, but it’s still unclear if he will participate in the upcoming match against Al-Ittihad on Friday, though expectations are high.

Ronaldo shared his return to training on X, posting a picture of himself along with a caption featuring a yellow and a blue heart, representing his team’s colors.

The post indicates that his strike was not against the club itself, but rather a gesture in support of the team.
