Malappuram: The management of the club has appointed Cleophas Alex as the interim head coach for Malappuram FC for the remaining matches of the Super League in Kerala. He is currently the assistant coach of the team. This decision follows the replacement of head coach Miguel Coral Torreira.
Having been with Malappuram since the first season as an assistant coach, he has a clear understanding of the team’s structure. Cleophas Alex, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, has previously coached Sat Tirur in the I-League second division. He also served as the technical director for ISL club Chennaiyin FC and was the head coach of their reserve team.
