Messi’s visit will inspire MFC to organize a state-level football match for journalists.
Malappuram: The local team, Malappuram FC, is set to meet the expectations of its supporters, as announced by team promoters for Season 2 of the Super League Kerala. More players, including international stars, will join the team. In connection with Messi’s visit to Kerala with the Argentina team, a football match will be organized between district press clubs in Thirur, in collaboration with the state journalists’ union. This was shared during a gathering between the team’s management and media representatives in Malappuram.
During the event, the new jersey for Season 2 was unveiled. IPS Officer K. Saleem, the Malappuram MSP Commandant, presented the new jersey to Suresh Edappal, the state general secretary of the journalists’ union.
Chief promoter Ashiq Kainikkara chaired the meeting. Promoters Ajmal, Bismi Jamsheed P Lilli, CEO Arun Manu, media coordinator Mujeeb Thanalur, manager Danish Haliros from the club’s executive committee, and Malappuram Press Club president S. Mahesh Kumar, secretary V.P. Nisar, and state executive committee member V. Ajaykumar also spoke at the event.
