Since Bruno Fernandes joined Manchester United from Sporting CP, he has been a key player for the team, but he hasn’t had a strong striker to partner with until now.

During the match against Everton on Monday Night Football, Benjamin Sesko scored the winning goal, showcasing his finishing skills, smooth techniques, and impressive speed. This performance proved that United made a smart move with their summer signing.

While many believed United would target Viktor Gyokeres to bring another Sporting CP player into the fold, they opted for Sesko, who has taken some time to find his rhythm.

Sesko was initially seen as a raw, young talent, lacking regular starting time at RB Leipzig when he played alongside Lois Openda in Germany.

Now, Sesko is making a strong start, and it’s clear how thrilled Fernandes is to finally have a top striker with world-class potential, unlike Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

This season, Fernandes is averaging an impressive 3.3 key passes per game and has already tallied 12 assists. As Sesko finds his form and Michael Carrick continues to improve his coaching, it’s exciting to think about the numbers Fernandes could achieve by the end of the season.
