Things have been quiet for Manchester United recently, as many of Michael Carrick’s players are away on international duty this March.

It’s important for the Red Devils to secure Champions League football by the end of the season. This will provide a significant financial boost and make the club more appealing to potential summer signings.

As they prepare for a home match against Leeds United, Carrick has very few players available at the training ground. Most are representing their countries, including Matheus Cunha with Brazil and Noussair Mazraoui with Morocco.

Manchester United’s young players are also making their mark during this international break. Louie Bradbury, a standout talent from the academy, is turning heads with his goal-scoring ability.

Recently, it was announced that Bradbury, only 17 years old, was selected for Wales’ MU18 squad for the 2026/27 UEFA U19 EURO qualifiers. He has already made an impact, scoring twice in a recent victory against Switzerland.

Bradbury joined from Shrewsbury Town in early 2023 and quickly established himself as a scoring sensation. He even made his debut for the Under-21s at just 16 after a hat-trick for the Under-16s and a goal in his first start for the Under-18s against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

International experience can be key in a young player’s career, but those at Old Trafford aim to keep Bradbury grounded. After returning from injury late in 2025, he continued his scoring streak with goals for both the Under-18s and Under-21s. Currently a first-year scholar at the club, if he maintains this goal-scoring rate, a fast track to senior football may be on the horizon.
