In a recent interview, former scout Mick Brown shared that Manchester United is considering a move for Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney. Brown stated,

“Hayden Hackney is someone Man United have talked about.

“Michael Carrick is familiar with him, and Hackney knows Carrick, so I’m sure the recruitment team has mentioned him at some point.

“I believe he is a player the manager likes and would want to work with again if given the chance, especially since United needs to strengthen that position.

“I expect they will bring in at least one midfielder, as Casemiro is set to leave, and he might not be the only one.

“So Hackney would be a good fit. He’s a talented young player who has made a mark in the Championship, and many clubs are interested in him.

“If United decides to act and Carrick is still the manager next season, it could be beneficial due to their existing relationship.”

Hackney’s Impressive Form In The EFL Championship

The 23-year-old is having a strong season at Middlesbrough, showcasing his skills in midfield. He has scored five goals and provided six assists in 36 matches across all competitions this season.
