Michael Carrick is proving himself as Manchester United’s caretaker manager.

Initially appointed to manage the team until the end of the season, his goal was to stabilize the club.

However, he has surpassed expectations, leading Manchester United to six wins and one draw in an unbeaten run.

As a result, many are suggesting he should be made the permanent manager in the summer.

Carrick has mentioned he is thinking beyond the current season, stating, “it’s my responsibility, however long I’m here, to make decisions that are the best for the football club in the long term.”

His future plans include examining the transfer market, particularly for a left-winger.

In a recent press conference before the match with Newcastle United, Carrick discussed the need for a left-winger.

He noted, “It’s a point to consider, definitely.”

He added, “I think Matheus Cunha can play in that position. Amad can do it too. But adding a left winger is a possibility, yes.”

While Cunha and Diallo have been filling that role, Patrick Dorgu was impressing as a left-winger before his injury and even earned the January Player of the Month award.

It seems that strengthening the left-wing position is now a priority for the Red Devils, alongside improving the midfield, as they move forward with their squad rebuild.
