Mason Mount has played an important role for Manchester United this season as the team seeks success in various competitions.
The midfielder, who transferred from Chelsea in the summer of 2023, has made 19 appearances this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
In the Premier League alone, he has created 13 chances, has a pass completion rate of 79.4%, and made 14 tackles.
He has also been part of the squad in two matches, against Manchester City and Arsenal, under caretaker manager Michael Carrick.
However, ahead of the match against Fulham, it was revealed that Mason Mount would not play, as he was not included in the starting eleven or on the bench.
Manager Michael Carrick addressed this decision, stating that Mount had sustained a minor injury during training, but it was not serious.
“We’re disappointed he is not with us today, but he’ll be back very soon,” Carrick added.
Mount was not the only player absent, as Patrick Dorgu also missed out after getting injured in the previous match against Arsenal.
With Carrick’s update on Mount, fans can look forward to news from the club in the coming days regarding his availability for the match against Tottenham Hotspur next Saturday.
If he returns in time, his presence could bolster the midfield and help United contend with Spurs’ midfield strength.
